The creation of the worldwide internet and the affordability of the desktop or personal computer have resulted in an incredible phenomenon: a global online marketplace. It’s a fact. These days just about everybody, everywhere, uses a computer. And, because that is true, new markets have developed, seemingly overnight.
There are also new ways of doing business. Professional writers, of articles or of advertising – or anything else – now find that the best way to find work, and new clients, is not in the local newspaper’s classified section … not through word of mouth … not even by referral – NO, the best way to find and get work is right on the Internet. How to make money online from Website Flipping

There are many ways to make money online. You can make money online from affiliate marketing, providing services or selling goods on the Internet. Speaking of selling goods or properties online, one potentially profitable business activity is developing and selling websites on the Internet. Just like the development of real properties (e.g., land and building), website development and selling can give you substantial income if done properly. In the online parlance, it is called website flipping. As it may sounds simple, it involves the development of a website and then selling it for profit. If you have the capital or a bigger budget, you can buy running websites rather than develop from scratch – then sell it for profit.
To start from site flipping, you need to be creative and speculative. Based on my experience, the following are some of the important features of a website that attracts buyers.
Profitability
Most buyers buy a website to make profit, although there are few who buy it for personal use. If you want to sell a website at a good selling price, your website should have a good profit history. Meaning, it should be earning and generating profit. It’s maybe the first thing that a buyer or web investor looks for a website to buy.
Popularity and traffic
Aside from profit, buyers also take a look if a website is popular and receive traffic. Traffic converts to leads, sales and profit. A good website has good traffic. Good traffic are organic and not paid traffic.
Price
Selling something involves marketing, and one important element of marketing is “price”. If you want to make a successful website sale, you should assure to offer the most reasonable price. Remember that an overly priced web property will drive buyers away.
Quality
The quality of a website signifies its current as well as potential traffic and income. Some websites, because of lack of extensive search engine optimization (SEO) and maximization of profit, are not currently receiving tons of visitors and earning substantial profit. However, some web entrepreneurs invest on this type of websites because of their quality and what they can do on them in the future in terms of profit.
Support
Website flipping, once the sale happens, involves the transfer of the website and its domain to the new owner. This process includes the transfer of the website contents and files to a new web host; or the domain to a new registrar. The process also consists of assisting the new owner in running the website during the early stage of his ownership. All of these are important things that a website seller should offer to buyers.

It is every webmaster’s dream to position their websites at the top of the world’s biggest search engine results page, like in Google, Yahoo and Bing. That’s why they will try to do everything from content writing, to link building, to even engaging in expensive online promotion system just to obtain that goal. When it comes to website development (in terms of traffic, ranking and popularity), most experts say that content is king, while others are claiming that it is instead SEO. This debate has already become trendy in many articles and blog posts from around the web. I even said in one of my article that content is king who is living in a marketing castle. In my opinion, content and Search Engine Optimization should not compete with each other. Why? It’s because they are part of each other. Content writing is part of SEO and SEO can be applied through content writing. Furthermore, SEO can also be applied through link building or online promotion. But among content, link building and online promotion, I still consider content as still and will still be… the king. The main reason? It is in our contents that our websites become genuinely marketable and constantly useful. Read more
Content is king, living in a marketing castle

Content is king. No, it’s the SEO and marketing. Over the years, these are the arguments of many website and online marketing geeks. And my standing is… content is still the king, with his marketing castle. Why I am telling this? It is because internet marketing is a broad thing. It consists of not only promotion, but it is also and importantly composed of content quality, website efficiency and cost of use. These elements combined, form a royal family, and which “content” is still the leader.
Why promotion is not the king? There are tons of website owners who spend a lot of dime in site promotion like online advertising and search engine optimization, but still a majority of them don’t succeed. And to take a note, those few websites that contain quality contents are the only ones who gain long-term success. Expensive advertising may bring you thousands of visitors during the promotional stage of your site. But this doesn’t mean it will be the scenario as time goes by. It will still depend on the other three factors namely ease of use, cost of use and content quality. The traffic brought by promotion may only pass once and may never come back again if visitors realized the poor quality of a website. Read more
