A Business Corporate Prayer

We have just completed our team-building activity in our organization. Although it was just for one and a half day event, and I was just able to attend one day of it because of hectic schedules, I enjoyed it heartily and spiritually. After the activity, our firm agreed that we conduct a group prayer every Monday morning. Our firm’s big boss led the prayer on the first Monday as scheduled. We will have it again this coming Monday and oh it’s my turn now to lead the prayer. Since our Big Boss is a business and corporate minded person, I thought of finding or composing a prayer that is related to business. However, there is only one prayer that is on mind – the Lord’s Prayer. To mix this prayer to business, I attempted to modify the prayer to insert some business related terms like business, profit, income and operational success. But in the end, I found myself hanging and wasn’t able to change anything from the prayer. I was staring on the structure of the words and sentences but find it that the prayer was already simple yet complete. And if I modify the prayer, I may destroy its true meaning. Read more

Buddhism:
“Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful.”
Christianity:
“Do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sum up the Law and the Prophets.”
Confucianism:
