How to become rich and have a long life?

child-at-the-parkI’ve been busy for the past few days reading the Bible and searching for wisdom and understanding from God. The holy scriptures are the greatest book and the no. 1 most published book of all time having been published for more than 6 billion copies worldwide. But beyond its popularity, the Bible is a book of truth for Christians and what makes it the greatest book for me is God’s incapability to lie. His impossibility to lie makes the scriptures veracious and reliable. I know atheists around the world will again become antagonists on this. If you are one of them and you don’t want to believe it, you may leave now please. This is not the right article for you because God’s wisdom will not be understood by the unbelievers.

But for the faithful one, behold for the glory and grace of God. He wants you and He wants us to be rich and have a long life. Please read and accept God’s wisdom with all your heart.

Proverbs 3 of the Bible (New King James Version)

      1 My son, do not forget my law,

      But let your heart keep my commands;

       2 For length of days and long life

      And peace they will add to you.

       3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you;

      Bind them around your neck,

      Write them on the tablet of your heart,

       4 And so find favor and high esteem

      In the sight of God and man.

       5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,

      And lean not on your own understanding;

       6 In all your ways acknowledge Him,

      And He shall direct your paths.

       7 Do not be wise in your own eyes;

      Fear the LORD and depart from evil.

       8 It will be health to your flesh,

      And strength to your bones.

       9 Honor the LORD with your possessions,

      And with the firstfruits of all your increase;

       10 So your barns will be filled with plenty,

      And your vats will overflow with new wine.

       11 My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD,

      Nor detest His correction;

       12 For whom the LORD loves He corrects,

      Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

       13 Happy is the man who finds wisdom,

      And the man who gains understanding;

       14 For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,

      And her gain than fine gold.

       15 She is more precious than rubies,

      And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.

       16 Length of days is in her right hand,

      In her left hand riches and honor.

  • I accept what you say, but I think we also need to make our own luck in life not sit back and think the God is going to do all the hard work for us.
  • Hi Sophie,

    Being faithful and loving God give us wisdom and understanding. These things give us logic and knowledge to do what is right. Righteousness brings us success in every good thing that we do.
  • All holy books pass simple and good message for all.
  • Yes, all Holy books promotes spirituality and morality which are logically make people's living better.
  • I am surprised that you do not want atheists reading this post. While I am not religious, I am open to other people's points of view. I still want to gain what I can from other people's advice. I guess since I can't believe in the concept, this can't me at all?
  • Hi Jeremy,
    Atheists are persons who dont beleive in God and His Words. As long as you believe...you are very much welcome to read the article. I welcome trasformation. Thank you.
  • I think that there is not short cuts for these two thing which you have discuss in this post. All holy books have almost same massage.
  • Hi Peeksophia,

    Thanks for dropping here. Yes you're right, there is no short-cuts, that's why God wants us to grow like a tree rather than a grass. A tree grow slowly, but lives long. But a grass sprout quickly but dies also swiftly. Those two things requires sacrifice and acceptance - so we can have the wisdom and understanding we need.
