I just browsed the internet to search an answer on how many laws are there in the world today. Some reference said there are hundreds of thousands of them. Yahoo’s Answers give me a rough estimate of millions of permanent and changing laws on Earth. Finally, I realized that it’s very hard to determine the precise number of existing rules on the planet. This is true since there are many countries in the world and every country has numerous laws. Within a country, there are also several local bodies which implements regulations. Even in our own home and in our office, we make a lot of polices.
Laws and policies are created to establish and promote harmony between parties. Business laws are also implemented to preserve and protect organizations and persons who are doing business. The law on obligations and contract, for example, was instituted to protect the rights and wellness of the parties on a contract. Justice and righteousness are what laws on Earth uphold. Furthermore, the law on sales also exists to defend the rights and well-beings of not only the sellers but also of the buyers. There are so many codes which are directed even just in commerce. Here is also the corporation law that regulates the corporations. Insurance, agency, banking, taxation, investing and labor laws are also rulings which are established to preserve the harmony in the social and commercial system. But do we really need to know all the rules to become righteous in our every decision?
The greatest law on Earth
We don’t need to memorize all the laws on the universe to become upright in every decision we make. If we know the greatest law in the world and if we can abide it, we can actually achieve life’s success, happiness and fulfillment. The greatest law on Earth is to love the most powerful being that exists – our Almighty God. If we love God, we will not commit lies, fraud, stealing, negligence, corruption, harassment, hatred and other acts that are against Him. If we love God we will love our employees, employers, co-workers, co-owners, creditors, debtors and customers. You cannot say that you love God, when you do not love the people around you.
By following the greatest law on existence, that is to love God, we are already abiding all the good laws that go after it. We are assured that we are in the right position if we know that we are in God’s direction. We can be in a harmonious organization, if we love our members. Loving each other inside an organization means being kind, fair and true to them. We can also generate high volume of sales and revenues if we love our consumers. If you offer and sell high-quality products and services that come from your heart, you can earn a lot of clients and customers. Well, do you think you love God when you produce careless low quality goods just to maximize your profit? Of course you are not! Do you think you love God when you do not treat your laborers fairly? Definitely you’re not.
Conclusion:
I hope every one of us has realized the epitome of knowing the greatest law on Earth. This is what every one of us should think. We should reflect on this way. This is how we can become great people – by embracing the greatest things on Earth. The truth is here. Love our Almighty God – that’s the number one rule. By doing it, you can abide every law on Earth that will glorify your life, your career and your business.
