facebookFacebook is the most popular social networking site in the in the Internet today. It is also the 4th most visited website in the world (behind Google, Yahoo and Youtube) according to Alexa rankings. Facebook is operated and owned by Facebook, Inc. It was founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his fellow computer science major students and his roommates Eduardo Saverin Dustin.

Users can freely join networks organized by city, workplace, school and region. People can also invite and add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. According to Facebook’s Press Release statistics, it has already more than 25 million active users. More than 120 million of those active users log on to Facebook at least once a day. This statistic shows that many people have already been addicted in using Facebook – and that includes me.

Facebook has many great features and applications. One unique feature is the ability of the user to write on the wall of another user. Writing on the wall is simple as answering the universal question – what’s on your mind? Bloggers like me can also make a fan page where we can integrate our blog contents with it and promote it to our friends over the network. There are lots of applications in Facebook that I am still experimenting for my future success in marketing and most importantly in socializing for real friends.

I’ve been actively using the network for almost five months now. As of this date I already had 405 friends. Thanks to Facebook I have found my old friends, my high school and college classmates and even my relatives. Aside from them, I’ve also found lots of good new friends.  So I wish to have more and more friends which are there to interact with me. With that, I made this post to increase my friends. If you think I am worthy enough to be your friend in Facebook, then you may add me – with my profile http://www.facebook.com/viclogic. I wish to add recognized friends and not just spammers. So after you add me, please make a comment below with the URL to your profile– so I can recognize and confirm that you are my good friend.
