As I write this post, Twitter is already ranked 26th among the world’s most popular websites according to Alexa’s web traffic rankings. Since it’s creation in 2006, Twitter has already become a phenomenon in the online world. Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging services that enables its user to send and read messages known as “tweets”. Tweets are text-based posts of 140 maximum characters displayed on the author’s profile page and delivered to the author’s subscribers who are known as followers. I am enjoying twitter about a few months now. As of today, I already followed 1,485 twitters. 1,550 twitters also have followed me as of this time. Twitter is a place for easy connection with the people you want to follow and you want to keep an eye on whatever they do. A simple question that says “what are you doing?” does all the update of every users, tweeters and members of the site. It can also become an effective medium to promote your blog or website. That is, as long as you abide the rules of ethical social media practice.
To have a large number of followers is an appealing achievement. Hence many marketers, internet entrepreneurs and bloggers take the opportunity in utilizing Twitter. I write this post to promote helping each other to grow our twitter followers. Hence, I am making the following deal to everyone who has landed on this post.
Let’s follow and tweet each other on twitter:
This is so easy. If you are interested in business, management, marketing, ethics, accounting, blogging, making money online and entrepreneurship, you may follow me on my Twitter account at http://Twitter.com/BusinessAccent . After you become my follower, it will be my obligation to follow you back. For me to do the follow back, you must make a comment below with your twitter profile address so I can visit it and follow you.
You may also tweet this post so we can tweet each other’s post. If you have tweeted this post, then I will also tweet your best post. In your comment, aside from your twitter profile link, you may also include a link to your best post. That way, I can tweet it after I have followed you.
So are we having a deal? This way we can build relationship with each other – this is the essence of social media. I suggest you only follow me, if you really are interested in my site’s contents and my interests. Happy tweeting!
