When Julius Caesar built the Roman Empire, he needed a powerful political army to successfully build that. When Bill Gates raised his multi-billion dollar company, he needed powerful software products to achieve it. Both Caesar and Gates needed something that is powerful to attain their great goals. But aside from power, they also possessed this thing to succeed – faith. Julius Caesar had putted his faith on his political tactics and strategies to win every military and political battle. On the other hand, Bill Gates left Harvard in his faith to find his software company. As we can see, power follows faith. Faith precedes power. For aspiring businessmen and entrepreneurs, we need power to become triumphant in business. And to have that pure power, we need to purify our faith.
Philosophically, power is a measure of an entity’s ability to control the environment around itself, including the behavior of other entities. Scientifically, it is the amount of work done or energy transferred per unit of time. So when you have the ability to do a thing and make a change, then you have the power. But of course power varies depending on your degree of ability. Faith, on the other hand, is the confident belief or trust in the truth of or trustworthiness of a person, idea, or thing. Simply, faith means pure belief. Now that you have pictured the meaning of power and faith, let’s go to business.
If you are dreaming to become a successful entrepreneur who owns a flourishing business, you shall have power and faith. Your power could be your skills, knowledge, intelligence, influence, money and even friends. But all of these things would become useless if you will not have faith in them – that is if you will not purely believe in them.
There are many skilled and intelligent people who failed in business because they lack confidence. There are also several businessmen who are abundant of money but do not succeed in business because they are not bold enough to invest those money. Likewise, there are also several business owners who have the ability to influence people but also failed because they do not trust those people. As you can see, they all failed because of lack of faith. And because of that, they cannot boost their power.
Remember when Julius Caesar succeeded in building the Roman Empire, what he did is to believe on his plans and tactics. He trusted the victorious capabilities of his military. He invested faith on them, and that boost his power that caused him to become one of the greatest personality in mankind’s history. Remember also Bill Gates, he got a great faith on his self that he sacrificed his academe in Harvard just to pursue on his dream. And now that dream becomes a big reality.
Conclusion:
If you want to succeed in business and in life, you need to become powerful enough. And to have that kind of power, you need to have a pure faith. You shall believe in your self. You should be confident in your capabilities, your assets and your people. By being so, you can maximize your self, optimize your assets and energize the people around you. That’s what a faithful businessman can be – a powerful one. One who stands out from other businessmen, one who can build a great business empire.
