Become rich by forgetting about money

Intriguing title, isn’t it? Yes perhaps, because, as we all know, money is what makes us rich. And if we ignore this thing, it might leave us in vain. But all of these might be just disbeliefs. The truth is… the more we crave for money, the more we become poor. Wondering what’s my point? The point is… focusing on greatness and kindness will make us rich than longing for money.
I have already read a couple of success stories from magazines, to books and to internet publications. These people who have attained success in riches are telling that they have not focused on money to become wealthy. Rather, they have concentrated on becoming great in every thing they do. They have produced great products, sold great goods, rendered great services, and have done great jobs.
Money is not a primary thing in our lives. It is an add-on thing. If you do great things, money will be added to your life. Therefore, why crave more on greatness rather than on money? Consider and reflect on the following stories:
Mr. X and Mr. Y are both internet entrepreneurs. They both have websites namely, WebsiteofMrX.com and WebsiteofMrY.com. Mr. X built his WebsiteofMrX.com primarily to earn money. This is Mr. X’s concentration – to earn as many as he can. But because of his concentrated desire to earn money, he sometimes or often sacrifices many great things just to maximize his earnings. He do things like scams, dirty search engine optimization (SEO) tactics, posting attractive but misleading information in his websites and other unethical techniques to boost his website’s traffic, popularity and income. As planned, Mr. X did earn lots of money from his website. But after a few months from indulging his high earnings, Google ban his website because of his dirty SEO ways. Consequently, his traffic coming from Google searches started to fade. But that’s not all. A group of pro-bloggers started to blog him. They blog and condemn his misleading and unethical online undertakings. At the end, Mr. X’s loss money, his website and his reputation.
Meanwhile, Mr. Y is a man of patience and generosity. He created WebsiteofMrY.com primarily to share his talents, educate people and give them opportunities to earn online. He dreams to become a millionaire, but he doesn’t really mind about that dream. He only wants to help people and make their lives better. Mr. Y always observes greatness in all things he does. He patiently designed his website to look clean and great. He invested hard work to research and innovate the contents, products and services of his website. He compliments his site’s loyal visitors and users. He gives the best thing he can offer to his clients. He follow-up and assure to give the adequate care to his valued clients. Mr. Y becomes happy when he realizes he has served well and helped effectively his visitors, users and clients. After a few months, several bloggers blog about him and his website. This resulted to his website becoming popular and highly ranked. Visitors of his website keep returning. They have created a word-of-mouse effect that caused his website and business to grow more than he expected. His hardwork and greatness has been recognized by associations by granting him different awards of excellence and distinction. High page-rank website, tons of traffic, great reputation, enthusiastic visitors, loyal clients, and thankful friends, all of these great things made his revenue outstanding.
At the end, Mr. Y earned millions of dollars from his online business and realized a dream that he almost forgot – to become a millionaire.
The stories above maybe fictional but they truly happen in the real world. People who put money first forget the greatest things in life like integrity and excellence. For this reason, they don’t achieve greatness (the primary thing) as well as money (the add-on thing). So to attain long-term money success, attain first greatness.
