Seven types of blog posts for a clueless blogger’s mind

I guess you know guys what I’m talking about. All bloggers, including myself, shall admit that we have already experienced the times that we need to add a post to update our blogs, and suddenly realize one problem…we don’t have any idea what to write. Fresh contents are what make a blog a true blog. A blog which is not offering fresh and updated posts or articles to its readers may lose its quality as an interesting blog. Perhaps, a blog which already have thousands of posts and articles may be exempted for a while. They are already established blogs. And a mere absence in publishing a new post for a week may not affect their awesomeness.
But whether our blogs are at their peak or not, we still need to make our visitors happy. So to address this matter, I have listed below seven types of blog post we can publish when we don’t have any idea what to write in our dashboard.
1. The interview post. If you have a friend which you think can share interesting thoughts and insights in response to your interesting questions, then your interesting post can now be ready to be published.
2. The image post. Don’t post any images that will cause you a legal dispute for copyright infringement! Relax, it’s just an early precaution. If you have a favorite interesting image which is royalty free or which you personally owned, then you can use it. But remember, to make the image more appealing to your visitors, you need to make an extraordinary or very intriguing description of that image.
3. The video post. If images can become interesting posts, how much more the videos? So share your best videos. If you don’t have one or if you just don’t want to share your personal camera rolls, then you can get some interesting fresh videos from Youtube and embed it to your blog. A brief description or a brief comment on the video can help it more interesting and worth to discuss.
4. The poll post. Let the choices create the exciting part of your post. If you can create indeed very thrilling poll, your readers will be exciting enough to see the result of you poll.
5. The versus post. Sometimes, making better sentences and paragraphs to create a great post is so exhausting. What I do is to make a showdown between two very interesting characters (people, companies, subjects, etc). If I am lazy enough to write an essay type of a post – I tabulate. See what I did on my “entrepreneur vs employee” post. Distinguishing the two in a bullet point style is easier than writing an essay type of a post.
6. The guest post. Hmmm. I believe this is the easiest most effortless among the list. What you only need to do is to invite someone (a friend, a business partner, etc) who can write an interesting and relevant post. Just make sure your guest poster writes an article which is relevant to your blog.
7. The great list of links post. A list of useful links as what it sounds can be truly useful to your visitors. If you can’t dig something from you head to publish in your blog, go and dig a list of useful and relevant links around the web universe. A good list of links can be a list of detailed post links from other great bloggers. This can also make a ping back to those bloggers and notify them that you have linked them to your blog. Consequently, those bloggers may visit your blog to check how you have linked them. This way, you can create a useful post, you can drive traffic, and you can also increase your pagerank through reciprocal linking.
Now you can choose what type of blog post you will write when you don’t have any thing in your mind to write. If you have other types of blog posts you think I forgot and should be added to the list, feel free to share them below by making a comment.

Interview posts always seem to work for me when I didn't have anything to write about.
Hi Deneil,
I have not yet tried to published an interview post. But I will do that in the nearest future. It is easy and sociable.
Don't just do one. Interview a few people and post them one by one for a week straight. That seems to work.
