My Life as an Entrepreneur Part 1 (the beginning)

computetaxI just decided to become more transparent in pursuing this business online. This is to give my valued visitors a clear vision on what and who are they are dealing to. Because this is a business site, I am honored to share my life as an entrepreneur. My life as an entrepreneur started when I was a kid, who was a little boy trying to gain profit by selling toy cards to his little friends. We have this little “sari-sari store” (a term in the Philippines for small stores selling variety of basic goods). This is the store, where I also sell toy cards I bought at lower costs in downtown area. That means profit for me. Instead of enjoying playing those toy cards as a kid during that time, I enjoyed and became excited in anticipating profit. But of course, I was still a child that time, and all I had in mind, is the fun in chasing profit. The entrepreneurial mind that I have has brought me to study accounting which is both a theoretical and numerical kind of a subject. And as a certified public accountant who has practiced for more than four years now, I have been into accounting and auditing different kinds of businesses.

But despite of the years of meaningful involvement in several kinds of businesses, I have not totally become a businessman or an entrepreneur – I’m still an employee. I’m the head of the auditing division in an accounting firm based in the Philippines. The work of a full-time financial auditor never gives me a chance to venture in any business that I am interested in. However, my very scarce beyond employment hours has given me some opportunities to browse the internet and find ways to make money online.

At this moment of time, I am an entrepreneur in theory in terms of business in general and an entrepreneur in substance in terms of money making online. The wisdom that I possess in entrepreneurship is based on my professional experiences as an accountant and an auditor, based on my basic values in life, based on the teachings of God and based on realization that I attain through reflection.

As time will pass, and as this site becomes older, I will constantly share all my significant experiences in an aim to contribute something to the world of business entrepreneurship. Currently, I am earning some bucks from domain name trading. That’s the only business activity I can do at this moment since I’m still a full-time auditor. This website is only four-month old and has not yet earned a decent amount of income. I am planning to move into becoming a full-time entrepreneur. I have some domain names to be developed and turn them into profit generating machines.

As I write this post, I’m thinking on one of my domain name in stock – GreatBPO.com. I am planning to develop this into an online haven for BPO companies and freelancers which they can post and promote their services for free. Companies seeking BPO companies and freelancers can also post their projects on this website. I’m also considering making the domain into a BPO related online forum. In that forum, members can ask and share anything about Business Process Outsourcing, can post their resumes or profiles, and can bid for projects and services for free.

I also owned an undeveloped business link directory site named BusinessPull.com. In this directory, companies can submit their company URL to be listed in the directory for free. It is also an article directory, so people can submit articles and promote their business for free.

I am selling MoneyRelease.com. I need money in the future for incorporating my venture. I want to have a company which is registered as a corporation. Corporations are more reliable companies in the eyes of clients and customers than other formed companies (single proprietorship and partnership).

There are still many words that my hands are eager to write. But we should stop for a while and make this entrepreneur’s journey to be continued next time. This is just the part one.

    Hi my great friend Luis,

I am so lucky to have an online friend like you.
Thanks for the useful words you have expressed here. How many ebooks have you already written in your internet life? Lol.

I agree with you, socializing will really boost the numbers of our fans and friends. This means traffic.

The month of April is our audit season. It means I spend my day and night in the office trying to catch up with the deadlines.

Thanks again and have best results.
  • Hi Vic,

You indeed know how to write and a lot too. For this blog I can tell you that do not get desperate for I can see you have about 2k links.

You may need to improve those links to grab more traffic, I guess you may need to get more time into the social sites like twitter, blogcatlog, mybloglog and the like. I know this can be a problem when you are part time only, like I was.

But what I can tell you from my experience, I got a huge spike in traffic since I started to be active in commenting in a lot of blogs. Even in the big ones like John Chow.

Well, same as you I cannot wirte a complete ebook in your comment form but if you want any help in how to get more comments and traffic just contact me by email and then I can finish this ebook I am writing here, lol.

Any help you need let me know.

I really know what it feels to be traped in a full time job, remember I was one before April 2, after my layoff I have found myself with lots of time to start my own ventures, but it is still possible to succeed part time.

    Luis
