BusinessAccent Blog Update and Action Plan
It was on the last days of the year 2008, when I lunched this blog. So this blog is almost four-month old now at this moment I write this post. This article story is my 68th post so far, so if I was already blogging for four months now, statistically I was posting an average of one article every two days. This statistic shows that I am still a lazy blogger. But this is due to the fact that I write articles that are usually long and are purely original. But more than that, I am not a full-time blogger, since I am currently employed as a head auditor in a certain accounting firm in the Philippines. But this job gives me a meaningful experiences particularly in business and helps me write meaningful articles with regard to that matter.
As of this date, this blog has already earned a Google pagerank of two, Alexa rank of 1,060,000, backlinks of almost a thousand, and an average of 60 to 120 unique visitors per day. There are 68 posts including this one and 75 comment so far registered in this blog. I have 12 RSS readers and 75 Twitter followers. This statistics are not considerable as an outstanding achievement for a 4-month old blog, but since I accept this for posting only an average of one article in two days. This will serve as a challenge to myself to improve or triple this statistic in the next four months.
I am setting the following goals to be achieved in the next two to four months:
1. Unique visitors of 500-1,000 per day.
2. Backlinks of 10,000
3. Alexa rank of 200,000
4. Google pagerank of four in the next update
5. 500 RSS readers
6. 1000 Twitter followers
7. 200 original posts
To achieve the above goals, I would need to invest more time and some money. Also, I am looking forward to do the following:
1. Make my own ebook about business, marketing entrepreneurship and or making money online
2. Install a newsletter in this blog
3. Improve blog design
4. Invite other authors
5. Install a business forum
6. Extend my social networks and be more active on them
7. Et cetera
In the next few weeks I am concentrating on marketing, so expect me to published articles about online marketing that will include “viral marketing” and “guerilla marketing”. I hope to see you again after four months for my next major blog statistic update. Although I will also post a monthly report of this blog for some useful statistics that I think will help and guide my readers.

Hi Vic, You are doing great for only four months old. If a post every two days is lazy then I must really be in trouble. I tend to go with the idea ‘let is sit a while and give commenters a chance to do their part’. Truthfully that theory works great with how lazy I am. lol
You have set some good goals for yourself. I have no doubt you will achieve them. I’m already impressed with your determination.
I’m subscribing to your feed by email. You have some great posts here and I certainly don’t want to miss the one on Guerrilla Marketing. That’s one of my favorite subjects.
