Is there business in commenting?
Particularly, I’m talking about commenting as a feature of a blog (weblog). We all know that a blog is a flexible, interactive, and content rich form of an internet site. These are the reasons why I’m using this script on my business blog – a blog which envisions to provide its users with rich and updated pieces of business information from time to time.
If you make a post on your blog, you can either activate or deactivate the comment option. Deactivating it will deprive your visitors and readers to post their comments on your posts. But for me, I always turn it on. This is the way to build a more interactive site where readers of your blog can post their comments and insights about you particular post or article. Comments also become contents of your blog and therefore the more the comments come in your blog the more the contents your blog will gain. Besides, it is always great to read a site with lots of ideas from different minds. Let’s just make sure that we always get rid of those irrelevant and annoying spam comments. To eliminate spam, you may install the plugin Recaptcha (that is what I am using here as you will notice when you will make a comment on this article.
Regular commentators are always nice and it’s noble if we will recognize and thank them. We may opt to eliminate requiring the typing of Recaptcha image and automatically approve comments from our regular and trusted visitors. To encourage commentators, we may install the WordPress plugin top commentators (this is to give recognition of the top commentators we have in our blog). This kind of reward gives top commentators baclinks as many as the number of pages in my blog – as they are shown in my sidebar in all of my WordPress pages. So far, this is my 52nd article that I have published – it means that I have more than 5o pages now and it is growing everyday. Hence if you will be included in my top commentators, (as tallied every month to be fair with other bloggers) you will get an instant 50 backlinks so far. I estimate to post 20 more articles this March. To get the plugin, just search top commentators inside your dashboard in the plugin option and you can install it automatically using WordPress 2.7 or 2.7.1.
Aside from the Top Commentators plugin, CommentLuv also gives rewards to our blog’s commentators by including their latest post with their comments. Check it out on my blog’s comments or you may try to comment to try it for yourself. You can also install the plugin automatically in your WordPress 2.7 or 2.7.1 dashboard. WordPress is really nice. Isn’t it? Actually, aside from the top commentators and CommentLuv, commentators will also be linked in my recent comments widget in the sidebar which is also shown on all the pages of my blog. So it means that if you recently commented on my post, you will be linked like the top commentators are linked in all of my pages. Hence, it is always great to visit regularly in my blog and make a relevant comment.
So what is the business in commenting? Well, it builds you good and massive backlinks, increase your pagerank and popularity, gives you nice friends, provides you different people’s insights and ideas, expand your network, makes you sociable, et cetera. All of these good things will drive you nice amount of traffic and therefore will increase your profit. That is the business in commenting. Just please don’t spam because I hate spammers. Finally make sure that your comments are relevant on what are we talking here.

I think there is a significant interactive question, if you are going to post your entire life on the web, why wouldn't you want people to make a comment or two? Just a thought!
